Certain couples just make our job easy–Lauren and her British honey, Matt did just that! During their engagement session, they were so connected and clearly ADORED each other, we knew the wedding would be no different–and we were right. Lauren’s gown was beautiful, actually a reworked version of her high school Debutante gown–so sentimental. She carried her late father’s handkerchief with her name and Matt’s and their date embroidered on it. It was such a sweet gift from Lauren’s very special Mom. They did not want to see each other before the ceremony (which we had yet to see at a Jewish wedding) but we made it work! They signed their Ketubah on opposite sides of a wall in the bridal suite–thanks Hope at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead for coordinating that. Matt was even able to slip Lauren a wedding gift around the wall! The ceremony room was beautiful, Tony Brewer worked his usual magic, and the chuppah and then the celebration were gorgeous. I was in happy Hydrangea land! We got to work with Ritz planner, Kandy McCarthy, and she was a doll. She is also a dear family friend of the bride’s, so this was very personal for her! We got to work alongside our uber talented friends, Donna and Paul from Dewitt Smith Video. Guests danced the night away and played in the the Wow! Photobooth. In addition to all the culinary Ritz yumminess, they also had a fun candy bar to grab from. As our lovely new friends from across the pond would say…the night was “brilliant”…we wish Lauren and Matt so much love and joy! Congrats!
It was a phenomenal weekend celebrating Erika and Clay’s wedding! We loved capturing all the moments, from the rehearsal dinner happiness at the Estates all the way to the last dance at the Grand Hyatt. Erika’s bridal suite was buzzing with fun, music and bridesmaids–all getting hair and makeup done in style! Erika was so relaxed–loved that! Her gown was amazing, and Rodica was on hand to help with it. (we love her!) The day was run by Helene Popowski, and we knew there would not be one detail overlooked–and we were so right. The decor was amazing. Anytime you have sequins on tablecloths, how can it not be amazing? J Wilbur Smith rocked it. The ceremony and reception were gorgeous. Helene orchestrated her signature Dessert Reveal and the room of desserts was out of control. We got to work with Devon at the Grand Hyatt and she was great! US Beat was so fun and the guests were so bummed when the night was over. What else? I think you get the idea…it was a wonderful night for two people who deserve so much happiness!!
If we’re going to work on the 4th of July, it should be with an amazing couple at one of our favorite venues, right? Well it was. Becky and Michael were such a phenomenal couple and their wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead was awesome. I loved how emotional they both were when they saw each other before the ceremony and then were both just as emotional when they saw each other again walking down the aisle. Becky’s Dad had one of the best ever answers to “who gives this bride…?” when he recited the names of all of Becky’s siblings, spouses and children, including “her Mother and I”. It was so genuinely loving. That’s what the wedding was all about–love and family. Add to that beautiful flowers and decor from Tony Brewer, the perfecto backdrop and cuisine at the Ritz and Lenox Fireworks…what could be better? Congrats Becky and Michael!
It’s always extra special when we get to capture the most special day for someone who is extra special to our family! We’ve known Val since she was a kid, and she’s still one of our kids’ all time fave babysitters. We did her Senior photos and now we got to photograph her wedding. What an honor. She was a beaming, radiant bride! She and Jameson did not see each other before the ceremony (we rarely see that anymore) and his reaction when he saw her coming down the aisle was beautiful. We loved watching both sets of parents and their reactions, too. So sweet. It was a joy capturing the love and joy and celebration of their day. Congratulations!!!
It was a beautiful day for a celebration when we shot Mary and Jeff’s wedding at PUMC and The Four Seasons with Watermark Weddings. Mary was a beautiful bride–and she looked just stunning in her gown. Her awesome Mom and sister were right by her side to help her get ready, and Mary just was beaming! It was so touching that her Mom handed her the wedding bouquet, and fastened around the stems was a piece of the lace from her own wedding gown. A very touching and emotional moment. We loved getting our usual group shot in the atrium at PUMC, with the super fun bridal party–we knew these folks would celebrate and we were right. The party at the Four Seasons was lots of fun, they didn’t stop dancing until the final song. Mary and Jeff left with a shower of rose petals coming down the grand staircase–can’t ask for a better send off than that! Congrats!
