Shayna – A Bridal Session

I love when a client has a vision, AND gives me creative license (and time)!  I want to thank Shayna, our beautiful November 3 bride, for the opportunity to bring her vision to life–and do so on her wedding day!

With the bride starting her day at a hotel, but finishing her preps at the ceremony and reception location, however, we were challenged to make Shayna’s vision a reality.  With the help of Steve Bales at Bold American and the support of Helene Popowski–planner, coordinator, supporter and friend–and Shayna’s willingness be be flexible, we pulled it off!  The last picture below shows the unusual setting in which we shot these photos.

We hope you enjoy the results as much as we enjoyed our bridal photo shoot with Shayna!

OMG! Ric, these are truly amazing! And, so clever to see the exact set-up used for the shoot! Shayna should be modeling… Absolutely stunning!!!

Ric and Barrie -

So now that the wedding is over and we’re back from our honeymoon, we’ve finally had a chance to spend some time looking at the photos and perusing the blog!!!! You guys are ROCKSTARS! I have no idea how you pulled it off, but you managed to take pictures of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE – we laughed and cried all over again looking through your beautiful photos. You guys really are incredible and you gave us (and me!) exactly what we wanted, even though it may have been challenging – but who doesn’t love a challenge!

Thank you for the blog shout-out – the pictures are SO awesome – ya’ll made me look GOOD! Can’t wait to look through these again and again – it will be so hard to determine what we want in our book, etc!

Thank you again,
Shayna (and Jesse) Bergman!

Another awesome Emily!

You couldn’t have picked a more perfect fall evening for Emily’s beautiful celebration at the Botanical Gardens. The party started out on the Canopy Walk, where guests could enjoy drinks and munchies (s’more popcorn!) as they walked around the Gardens. Tobi Lyons planned this party to perfection. The décor was amazing (our pals Barbara and Chris from Bold), DJ Rhythm did his awesome party thing, our friends at Button It Up did their green screen fun and Affairs to Remember created delicious food areas for the celebration. (Make your own cupcakes, anyone?) Emily was on the dance floor from start to finish, celebrating with her friends and family under the stars. What an amazing celebration! Mazel tov!

Emily!

We knew, that based on how filled with energy that Emily is, that her party would be just as energetic. We were right! What a fantastic celebration of quite the sparkly kid at the super cool Buckhead Theatre. We always love working with the phenomenal Sharon Fisher Events/It’s My Party. The décor (Yay, Barbara and Chris from Bold American) was beautiful and fun, DJ Rhythm kept the party going strong, the food (Bold, again!) was delish. We got to work with our friends from Blue Orchid Video and from Button It Up, who didn’t stop for a minute—seriously—the green screen was a huge hit. I loved how Emily’s three big brothers interacted with her. And, it was so clear how the family just adores each other. Congratulations to Emily and her crew!

Kallie!

It’s always a joy for us to work with families on events for all of their kids. We get to see them grow up and that is one of our favorite parts of our job. Kallie was just Andrew’s cute little sister a couple of years ago, and now she was the Bat Mitzvah girl. She has a smile that lights up a room, and we saw that throughout her whole party at the Piedmont Driving Club. It was just such a fun, warm celebration of a great girl! Keith from Horizon DJ ran quite the fun shindig, and all the guests had a ball.

Mazel tov to the “super Kallie fragilistic” bat mitzvah girl and her awesome family. We’ll can’t wait to see you in a few years at Aaron’s Bar Mitzvah!

Sara + Brent

Wow. Can I just say, wow? Sara and Brent’s wedding was just Wow. All the pieces were there…our friend, Helene Popowski, who creates a wedding that is unreal, Steve Bales’ wonderful team at Bold American whose décor was perfect, beauty and class at the InterContinental (always a joy to work with Brian Ettelman!), a super fun band with Living Large, and a couple who just adored each other from start to finish of this special day.

We also got to work with Rodica Lazarian, who can alter and fix and fluff a gown to perfection, along with our pals Donna and Paul from Dewitt Smith video. Always great to work with the best in the biz.

Sara has a very special connection with her Mom and Grandmother, and they had a special ladies dance during the celebration. Seeing the three generations celebrating together made me miss my own sweet Grandmothers!

The highlight was definitely the mutual adoration between Sara and Brent. You could spot it from miles away. We wish this wonderful couple a forever of happiness!
