You know how you meet certain couples and you just know that they will grow old together? That is how we felt when we met Jay and DeShea. They have such a fondness and adoration for each other, and we couldn’t help but smile watching them interact.
Their wedding was beautiful. The bridal party and family got ready at Hotel Indigo near the Fox Theater–such a cool hotel. Scoobie and Alisha from the Moore Agency did the hair and make-up and they girls looked beautiful. DeShea was so relaxed and just enjoying her girl time with her friends and family. That permeated through the day, just contentment and smiles.
The ceremony was at Peachtree Christian Church, which had some of the most amazing stained glass windows I have EVER seen. It was an elegant, classic setting for their wedding. After the ceremony, the limo took them to the reception site: The Wimbush House on Peachtree.
I don’t think either DeShea or Jay stopped smiling all night. Truly. My highlight was seeing the two of them dance together. They embraced each other so tightly and with such emotion in their eyes, it made me smile!
After their exit from the party, we (along with Donna and Paul from Dewitt Smith Video) followed their horse and carriage down to the Four Seasons. We got some great shots of them at at the hotel and outside with the city in the background.
