When Stacy and Howard met while she was visiting Atlanta from LA, they pretty much knew that they had each met their partner. This was so clear on Saturday night, just watching these two interact. They clearly love each other and had a great time together. They even giggled and smiled through their entire first dance.
We knew that the day was going to be organized to the “nth” degree, because Janice Blackmon and her fabulous Watermark Ladies were running the show. And we were right, they kept things moving and were (as always) such a pleasure to work with. The ceremony and reception were at the Four Seasons (we love that place!) and the ceremony was really warm. The chuppah and room decor was overseen by Barbara Roos and executed by Tony Brewer & Co. There were candles all around the room, and the chuppah was beautiful.
Since family is so important to both of them, Stacy and Howard had all their nieces and nephews walk down the aisle before them. The best was when the littlest flower girl (3 or 4 yrs old?) didn’t leave the aisle until her basket of flower petals was completely empty. She was not about to leave until her job was done. It was hysterical.
The celebration was in the ballroom which was beautiful lit and decorated by Barbara and Tony. And, we are always SO happy to see Platinum perform. They are amazing and put on quite a show. I especially love it when Kevin is the male lead. He and I are probably the two biggest RENT fans in Atlanta. Well, maybe not in Atlanta, but at least in the Four Seasons that night. He is an amazing talent, as are the other 2 singers in the band. They just know how to get things going!
After the celebration, Stacy and Howard were sent on their way with a shower of rose petals. But, they didn’t leave right away. They were having too much fun, so they stayed in the hallway outside the ballroom visiting with their friends and family. I guess they didn’t want their celebration to end!
