We met Allison and her lovely parents at the Four Seasons Bridal Event, and knew instantly that this would be one of the loveliest families we’d work with–and we were right. It was such a joy getting to know them, and to capture all the joy and beauty at the wedding.
The day started with preparations at the Four Seasons. Allison had the greatest “something blue” shoes, and JJ gave her a rocking chair charm to show that he wants to grow old with her (aww!). Next onto Peachtree United Methodist Church, and the service was led by their pastor and also a dear family friend…so it was very personal. We trekked across Peachtree with Allison and JJ to get a pic of them in front of their favorite spot–The Peachtree Tavern. We always love stopping traffic for our couples!
Back to the awesome Four Seasons, where, AS ALWAYS, it was perfect. Michelle ran the show over there, and the event was just seamless. Amy Saltzman from A Legendary Event did the decor and really created a beautiful backdrop for the evening. I really loved the special Bride and Groom chairs with the hydrangeas attached…gorgeous.
If I said that Virginia and Kevin of Platinum Band were great, it wouldn’t even scratch the surface. They were amazing. I think they are one of the best bands in Atlanta. Consistently. It always makes our job even that more fun when we get to listen to a phenomenal band all night!
JJ knew how much Allison loves ice cream–specifically Ben and Jerry’s Chubby Hubby–and he had a special pint with an engraved ice cream scoop presented to her with the wedding cake. “For the love of my life for the love of yours”. It was really sweet and went great with the mini milkshakes they served.
They left the party with a shower of rose petals and headed off the next day for their honeymoon. I’m a little mad that they didn’t take us with them to Bora Bora…but I think I’ll get over it. Wishing them both much love and happiness!
