It was a ball working with Ilene and Seth at their beautiful wedding at The Temple last weekend. There is so much history in that sanctuary, the perfect spot for a wedding for two people who have known each other for as long as they have! Denise Rindsberg from Let’s Celebrate did the most elegant chuppah and flowers. There were orchids and candles everywhere! Seth’s Mom has been with The Music Class in Atlanta for years, and the founder played Trumpet Voluntary as Ilene entered the service. It was awesome! They had dear friends and family read the seven blessings from out in the sanctuary–a really personal touch.
I loved that Ilene wore her late mother’s wedding gown–that was so meaningful. And also in the “aww” category…she wore a really pretty diamond bracelet that was her grandmother’s. Apparently her grandfather gave the grandma the diamond and pearl bracelet and said he’d replace one pearl a year with a diamond. After so many years of marriage, the bracelet is now all diamonds. Love that.
After the ceremony, the party began! And, with their amazingly fun band…the party never stopped. Yacht Rock Revue did their magical 70′s thang, and even did a couple of 80′s songs specifically for the couple (Come on, Ilene!). We are still singing some of the songs YRR played–some really fun stuff. Avenue Catering did the delicious food and killer sushi bar and it all looked amazing.
It was a great party, with such a crazy fun party band, and we were thrilled to be there.
Mazel tov, Seth and Ilene…wishing you health and happiness!!
