So, as soon as we started quoting Seinfeld back and forth during their engagement session, we knew this wedding was going to be a ball. And…we were right! What an amazing day at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead. The day started out pouring rain (which, technically in Judaism is good luck!), but the rain did not make a dent in the joy of the day.
We met up with the awesome planner, Sharon Fisher (It’s My Party, Inc) in the bridal suite and the girls were all there doing their girlie hair and make-up thang. With Sharon in charge, we knew the event would be flawless…and it was! Sarah’s lace gown was lovely…so elegant and simple and perfect for her. I loved the purse she carried. It was her Grandmother’s (that always strikes a chord with me) and it had a handwritten note from her Grandmother with the info as to where and when she got the purse. Sarah had that beautiful and sentimental “something old” with her…so sweet.
The decor was gorgeous. Barbara Roos and Chris with Event Design Group created a Hydrangea Wonderland. It was unreal. There were hydgranges, orchids, roses and candles everywhere. Just amazing. After the very personal ceremony, the cocktail hour began and then the 280 guests were ushered into the candlelight ballroom. We got to be with our pals, Donna and Paul from Dewitt Smith Video, which is always a fun way to work!
Sarah and Alex were clearly so in love, and that permeated through the party. They are both so lucky to have parents each married almost 40 years! That is truly amazing. Both Moms were radiant and didn’t stop smiling all night. I was especially touched by how overjoyed Alex’s Mom was–one of the most happy Mother’s of the Groom we’ve ever seen.
US Beat rocked the party and at 1 am (yes, 1 am!), the party people were begging for one more song. It was such a great celebration! When we left at 1:30…people were still in the ballroom…no one wanted to leave!
Sarah and Alex–it was such a joy working with you both and documenting such a special day for you and your families! Mazel tov!
