Sari’s Bat Mitzvah!

What an amazing celebration for Sari’s Bat Mitzvah! Summerour Studios in Midtown was transformed into an incredible party spot complete with Cirque du Soleil type performers with flame batons, lighted hula hoops and the Crazy Boyz leading off the party with their…well…craziness. I loved the personalized pads of paper that served as place cards for the guests! I loved the fun lounge for Sari’s friends with beanbags and funky flower decor on the ceiling! I loved the amazing decor that Tulip did—those girls really know what they are doing! I loved the unbelievable food (even fresh tossed pizzas) that Sandra Bank from Added Touch created…unreal. I loved the cool Boston Red Sox bobble head type pics that Sharon from Button It Up did (Sari’s fam are huge Sox fans!). I loved the crazzzzy candy bar that Sandra set up. Yum. I loved the custom artwork that artist Karen Mervis created from pics we did of Sari and notes her friends and fam wrote to her. I loved working for the first time with Isabel Bryan from Best Event Ever–what a fantastic event she created! And, I loved how happy and joyous Sari’s family was from start to finish of this wonderful weekend.

Mazel tov to all of you—it was a beautiful celebration for a very special girl!

Brian’s Bar Mitzvah!

It was a wonderful celebration for such a great kid–Mazel tov to Brian and his family! We loved working with the amazing team of Helene & Company (that lady knows how to throw a party!), EventScapes (our pal J Wilbur created amazing decor and brought the sports theme to life), Button It Up (Sharon had embroidered blankets with Brian’s signature “b.” and then they were airbrushed), DJ Rhythm (fun and crazy as always) and an amazing team at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead…the event was fantastic.

The Candy Bar was awesome, the super cool b. cups with t-shirts for the kids in them were a great favor in addition to the blankets. It was overall just a really fun celebration!

Some highlights:

Meryl + Joel

We left Meryl and Joel’s wedding with the biggest smiles on our tired little faces. This was truly a couple who ADORED each other–and that was crystal clear from the first minute the wedding day began. We were so honored to be their photographers. We know Meryl’s parents from the event industry (they own “Button It Up”) and are so glad to be their associates and friends. The fact that they trusted us with their precious girl’s photography meant the world to us!

The girls all got ready in Meryl’s gorgeous suite at the Georgian Terrace, all decked out in their cute matching black personalized robes (with Meryl in her white “Mrs. Miller” towel wrap). As soon as we walked in, we saw the array of the gorgeous bouquets that Meryl hand-made! They were fabric and buttons and lace and beads, and phenomenal. Her gown was unbelievable. Just perfect for her and looked amazing with her Mom’s veil. I loved that she was wearing her Mom’s veil–that was such a beautiful, personal touch that was so meaningful.

After Meryl and Joel saw each other for the first time, we walked across Peachtree to the Fox Theater for photos. Is there a more special photo op there than to go into the actual theater for photos? It is so beautiful in there. We got to spend some time alone with the couple, and then the craziness of family pics began. Sharon Fisher from It’s My Party was the wedding guru–and the event was phenomenal! We got to work side-by-side with our pals at Dewitt Smith Video–always a joy.

Ahh…the chuppah. JWilbur from EventScapes created the most dreamy, natural atmosphere with branches, flowers, candles and plants. Amazing. (as always!) It was so “Meryl”! The ceremony was beautiful, with both sets of parents and each of their sisters under the chuppah with them. I loved how they had their grandparents (so lucky!) and closest family read the 7 Blessings aloud in English. Really personalized the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the party began! Atlanta Beat was fantastic–even learned some new Maroon 5 (Moves like Jagger!) for the couple. I don’t think the dance floor was ever empty. Really! Between this awesome band and the really fun crowd, this was quite the party.

My highlight is easy to choose. I just LOVED how this wonderful couple looked at each other so lovingly all day and night. Even when they didn’t know anyone was watching–they just kept glancing at each other with such adoration. Really made me smile!

Meryl and Joel, when you renew your vows for your 50th anniversary…we can’t wait to be there to take the pictures. Mazel tov to you both!

We were thrilled to be a finalist in the cover contest for Points North Magazine! This is one of our favorite shots from all the years we've been shooting weddings...really dreamy and romantic and elegant and beautiful! We took this outside the Georgian Terrace Hotel with our wonderful couple, Kristin and Eric. We'd love to give them the fun fun wedding gift of their photo on the cover!
